Our Work

In 2022, our United Way Partner Agencies provided 48,214 individual services to 16,446 individuals living in Gordon County.
-
2,594 individuals received 31,853 individual services related to basic needs. These services included hot meals, groceries, emergency shelter, and other financial assistance.

610 domestic violence victims were given safety tools, including shelter, advocacy, and support.

2,309 individuals received services to help improve their role as a parent through parent-child visitation, parenting classes, and other family-centered services.
-
5,343 children could access safe after-school spaces, attend camps, play sports, and participate in leadership-building activities.
-
7,063 individuals received educational services ranging from children to senior citizens.

HEALTH
We support Community Partner Agencies that provide mental health and well-being programs.

Work with families with children suffering from cancer, Aplastic Anemia, and other childhood diseases.

Provide programs and camps for children and adults with disabilities.

Provide programs to support parents and children to grow healthy families.

Support a no-kill shelter for dogs that connects man's best friend to loving homes to enhance the mental health of local families.
