30th Annual Unity Run 5K

This year we will celebrate our 30th annual Unity Run 5K and will be doing so with a bang! You don't want to miss out on what we are expecting to be our biggest and best one ever. This year's theme is Super Heroes. That's right, you are the real super heroes of our community, those who give back! Pull out your costumes, your capes, your masks, all of it, and come ready to have the best time ever! And it's a month before Halloween, so double up and get extra value out of your costume this year! 

We will have special tickets packages this year with custom medals, awesome race t-shirts, plus extra swag for the first time ever. DO NOT MISS THIS!!! Our biggest and best Unity Run ever! We're pulling out all the stops this year to celebrate race number 30!

2022 UNITY RUN 5K

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 29th annual Unity Run 5K! We could not have done it without all of our amazing sponsors (see below), volunteers, runners, walkers, and so many others, not to mention those who came out to enjoy the event and cheer on the participants! We had 1,954 people finish the race! Wow! Our goal for 2023 is to raise $710,000, and thanks to such a great turnout and so many amazing sponsors, we are right on track to meet and exceed our goal. Unity Run 2020

The United Way Unity Run 5K looked a little different this year. With COVID-19 still affecting how we plan our day-to-day, the 27th race was held virtually. We had a total of 107 runners and raised over $14,035 for our 2021 United Way Campaign. We would also like to thank Engineered Floors for designing this year's logo! 
 
Instead of submitting race times this year, we awarded winners based on the following categories: Farthest Participant from Gordon County, Most Unique Race Route, Most Creative Outfit, and Most Spirited! Congratulations to our 2020 Unity Run 5K winners!

  • Farthest Participant(s) from Gordon County: Hannah Knight and Andrew Krikorian ran in Boston, Massachusetts 
  • Most Unique Race Route: Holland West ran in Erwin, TN - Appalachia. His route included mountain views, countryside fields, downtown, and a brief jaunt at the local skate park.
