  1. What is a Color Run anyways?

    1. A fun way to exercise, the Color Run is as exciting as it is colorful. Complete the 1 Mile Fun Run or the 5K and run through clouds of bright neon colors. The white t-shirt you wear is a cool keepsake of the experience you had!

  2. Is the event timed?

    1. No, it is not. This is a fun event; run, walk, crawl, or tumble! We suggest self-timing for anyone desiring a finish time.

  3. Are animals allowed?

    1. No, even though the color is safe and non-toxic we do not allow furry friends to participate!

  4. Can children participate?

    1. Yes! All ages are welcome.

  5. What do I get in my race bag?

    1. Each registered runner will receive a white t-shirt to wear for the race, one temporary face tattoo, one colorful lei, one pair of neon sunglasses. (Plus one packet of color powder for the color bomb party *see Q: 8*)

  6. Can I pick up my race bag in advance?

    1. Yes! Pickup is available Friday, March 24th from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Calhoun Depot located at 109 King St. S. Calhoun, GA 30701.

  7. Can someone else pick up my race bag?

    1. Yes, but you must send them with a copy of your registration form!

  8. Can I register the day of?

    1. Yes, beginning at 8:00 a.m. race day registration begins, a flat fee of $35 is charged only on race day.

  9. Color Bomb Party

    1. After each runner crosses the finish line, they will receive one packet of 4 oz. colored powder for the color bomb party!

  10. WAIT, What is a Color Bomb Party?!

    1. Imagine making a mess and not having to clean it up BUT with colored powder! A huge cloud of blues, purples, yellows, greens, and pinks will cover you are the end of the race. Kicked off with fun music and a countdown to “throw your color” at the end!

  11. Is this safe??

    1. The color powder used at this event is all certified non-toxic and free of heavy metals. The colors are a combination of cornstarch, baking soda, and FD&C dyes. Runners may choose to wear glasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouth.

  12. Does the color really ruin my clothes and running shoes?

    1. Most of the color does wash out after the event, however, we recommend you wash the clothing items sooner rather than later. Wear older items you don’t mind getting a little dirty!

    2. We also recommend bringing towels to use for the inside of your vehicles and a change of clothes.
